Blue Marble Environmental Fuel Catalyst
The Blue Marble Environmental Fuel Catalyst is an innovative product that reduces the carbon footprint which is generated by internal combustion engines and burners.
It is a high value-added product that optimizes the use of liquid fossil fuels.
Upon fossil fuel combustion it reacts with O and OC radicals, decreasing the flame temperature and restraining the small Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH) from growing. This reaction changes the characteristics of Black Carbon particles, including the reduction in crystallite size and thermal stability, as PAHs are the necessary precursors to black carbon formation.
Black Carbon, even when not visible in form of soot, ranks as the 2nd largest human contributor to Climate Change; it carries two-thirds the climate impact of CO2. It is composed of particulate matter, hydrocarbons and carbon monoxides.
Blue Marble Environmental Fuel Additive decomposes existing combustion residues, carbonate and other particles, and leads them to full combustion, while in parallel acts as a multifunctional catalyst, allowing the full energy potential of the fuel. Internal combustion is by itself a process of voluntary and accelerated oxidation, and the use of Blue Marble optimizes this process.
Blue Marble also acts on Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs) renewing their service life, as it regenerates them passively without requiring exhaust temperatures of 350 - 500 °C. This process is especially important to vehicles which are not reaching high speeds throughout their regular service (city cycle) and new GenSets with DPF that are programmed to operate at low rpm.
Reduced CO & HC: in all engines, and regardless of the type of fossil fuel, emissions of carbon monoxides (CO) and hydrocarbons (HC) are being reduced by a value range between 60% and 95%.
Reduced PM: the reduction in particulate matter emissions (PM) from diesel engines with diesel particulate filters (DPF) is typically 90% while the corresponding reduction from diesel engines without DPF is typically 65%.
Reduced Fuel Consumption: in all engines, and regardless of the type of fossil fuel, fuel consumption is being reduced by a value range between 10% and 22%.
Further Reduction of Emissions: the reduction of fuel consumption reduces further the emissions, including CO2 and ΝΟx, as it doesn’t increase the concentration (ppm) in the volume of outstanding emissions.
